152 Days have passed

June 1, 2012
I can’t imagine that one day (obviously today) that I will take enough courage to write a blog. Am I carried away by the quick change of season this year? It’s official! Summer is over (triple smile for me). Rainy season gives me the idea of activities that will keep me busy. What to do with a comfortable day? Get my pen, paper and a cup of coffee (as props) J hahaha.
Ready to create my 1st and I hope not the last blog for this month.  I’m 100% ready!

You can have D-I-Y calendars at home (make sure to double check it)

Here are the things that I'll miss/look forward for this month:

We only have two seasons and obviously that's SUMMER and RAINY seasons.

  • Dry Season (tag-araw) – November to April
  • Rainy Season (tag-ulan) – May to October

Back to School ! First day of school because of all the new things: Teachers, Friends, and maybe a new school.

Make sure to have a checklist when you buy school supplies. Listed below are the basic things for students:

  • Scissors
  • Ballpoint pens
  • No. 2 pencils
  • Colored pencils
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Eraser
  • Spiral-bound or composition notebooks
  • Pocket folders
  • Ruler
  • Scotch tape
  • Stapler/Staple wire
  • Backpack
Remember: No need to buy new things if you can recycle much better.

                                     S T U D Y  H A R D!!!

It is the National Day of the Philippines. Independence Day (Araw ng Kalayaan) commemorating the Philippine Declaration of Independence from Spain on June 12, 1898.
The Flag of the Republic of the Philippines, representing the country is symbolized by the following:
Royal blue field – peace, truth, and justice.
Scarlet red field – patriotism and valor.
White triangle – equality and brotherhood.
Three stars on the corners of the triangle – the three main geographical regions of the country namely Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
The sun at the center of the triangle – has eight rays representing the eight Philippine provinces that started the revolt against Spain.

Philippine Flag can be seen in various places across towns and cities in the Philippines during the country’s Independence Day. Cars also sport miniature flags on this day.

"I do", "You may now kiss your wife", - Famous lines during wedding day

June has always been the most popular month, for it is named after Juno, Roman goddess of marriage. There are different types of weddings like very formal, formal, semi-formal, informal, military, double wedding, candlelight ceremony, outdoor, garden and at-home.

Choose the best color for your wedding:

   Red
            Blue
                    Green
                               Fuchsia Pink
                                                  Orange
                                                                   Violet

There are a lot of things to consider during wedding: budget, religion, time and availability. It's okay to dream a little. Remember no matter how big or simple, it's your day, have fun.

Above all these things the most exciting part for the month of June will be the arrival of my Tita/Ninang’s (Aunt/Godmother) family from Ireland. It’s been four years since we last hugged each other. Technology helps us stay connected. I can't wait for that particular date. (June 25, 2012)
